All manufacturing companies like the Rana Plaza
garment factory have significant responsibility to ensure the safety of their
employees and their environment and take necessary action to save the company
from sudden accident like that The Rana Plaza garment factory faced. Here are some precautions that are given to
save the company from accidents.
Safe
Environment: All manufacturers must have a sure
that their company structure must meet the security and safety measure. All
building must be prepared by the layout plan passed by the government and all
building and their respective areas must be inspected by the relevant authority
after a specific interval of time.
Medical
Treatment: All companies must have to pay medical allowance so
that all employees can check up themselves. Also after a short or specific
period their complete medical test must be conducted by the company to ensure
their health and safety. In case of any medical issue company must allow
medical leaves and make sure their treatment by a hospital assigned by the
company.
Supplier
and material Information: For the safety purpose all
companies must be transparent throughout the supply chain and make sure that
there is no harmful material available in luggage. All suppliers and
manufacturer must disclose the relevant information about their material,
subordinates, and manufacturing processes; also ensure that all the process is
transparently monitored by the monitoring department.
Safety
Instruments: All manufacturing companies especially
Garments Company must have to provide safety instrument to their employees and
ensure that all employees are using given instruments like gloves, face masks
to save them from dust, noise controller earphones or devices.
Employees Training:
All companies must have to ensure the all the
employees have the relevant and proper education to meet the criteria to work
in the company. An unknown person can harm many people through his ignorance.
So the companies must have to train their employees and also conduct a training
session after a short period of time and given the education about machine,
their uses and about their installation.
Disclose
Information: All the companies must have to
disclose the raw material information also with the information their supplies
and their sub-coordinate because sometime in the garment many harmful chemical
are used to clean the garments clothe and such chemical cause many diseases and
can harm by many ways so all companies must disclose such information to employees
and also have a restricted area where such harmful chemical are to be stored
and no one should be all allowed there without permission for the purpose of
employees safety.
